So I finally grew the proverbial "balls" to start a deviantart account. I am first and foremost a budding artist - meaning that I recognize that I am no where near the level I aspire to be, and probably never will be. No altered self-perception with me. I work in many mediums - mainly pencil, ink, oil paint, mixed mediums, and ceramics of all kinds. I have many inspirations including but not limited to comic art, the apocalypse, BDSM, horror and the macabre, fantasy erotica, and the meshing of flesh and technology (cyborgs et al...) I work slow, and hopefully this will be remedied as I continue working. Along with problems with my speed, I am still trying to find a style in my painting. I tend to jump back and forth between realistic and comic. I am a student at a small liberal arts school with a meager art department.....but I can't complain because the education I'm recieving now is free while art school would bankrupt me. I am in a constant state of doubt, so as many comments as possible would be greatly appreciated! Lay it on me! A few inspirations (and trust me, there are many) are J.P Witkin, Clive Barker, Dali, Van Gogh, Kent Williams, Ralph Steadman, R. Crumb, Doc Hammer, Vasquez, Tariq Raheem, and Lucian Freud.
